Instructions

Please complete all required sections of the application and upload the requested documentation, including a copy of your VREB-issued real estate license.

A Designated REALTOR® must hold an active Broker’s license issued by the Virginia Real Estate Board (VREB) and be officially designated as the supervising broker for the firm or branch office. The Broker-in-Charge is responsible for the oversight of all licensed and affiliated individuals within the office, ensuring compliance with the REALTOR® Code of Ethics, MLS Rules and Regulations, and all applicable local, state and national association policies.

NOTE: If you are NOT the branch manager, corporate officer, partner and/or principal/owner of a real estate company, do NOT use this form; complete the REALTOR® Membership Agreement.

Primary Membership
Designated REALTOR® (Broker-in-Charge) maintains their principal REALTOR® membership with Williamsburg REALTORS® as their primary association. As a primary member, the broker is responsible for fulfilling all membership obligations through WAAR, including payment of local, state (Virginia REALTORS®), and National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) dues, and compliance with the REALTOR® Code of Ethics and all applicable association policies.
NOTE: Primary membership designates WAAR as the broker’s “home” association for record-keeping, voting rights, committee service and professional standards matters.

Secondary Membership
Designated REALTORS® who hold primary membership with another REALTOR® association and wish to obtain additional services and benefits through the Williamsburg Area Association of REALTORS® (WAAR) may apply as a Designated REALTOR® member. Applicants must remain in good standing with their primary association and submit a current Letter of Good Standing with their application.

REALTOR® OFFICE $300.00 One-Time Fee

Membership is required for any real estate firm seeking affiliation with the Williamsburg REALTORS® (WAAR)

WMLS PARTICIPANT SUBSCRIPTION Price of Level Selected (Price Range: $228 - $282 Quarterly)

Williamsburg MLS
The Participant (Broker-in-Charge) assumes full responsibility for the firm’s participation in the Williamsburg Multiple Listing Service (WMLS), including oversight of MLS access, data security, and compliance with all governing rules and regulations.

SentriLock
SentriLock provides secure electronic lockbox and access management services for real estate professionals. Services include the ability to access properties using authorized credentials, manage lockbox assignments, track property access activity, and maintain detailed showing records. Use of SentriLock services is subject to SentriLock terms and conditions and all applicable MLS and association policies.

WMLS OFFICE $300.00 One-Time Fee

A real estate firm whose Broker-in-Charge is an approved Participant of the Williamsburg Multiple Listing Service (WMLS). The office’s participation in WMLS is contingent upon the active status of its designated Participant (Broker-in-Charge)

CHANGE OF BROKER-IN-CHARGE (WAAR/WMLS) $300.00 One-Time Fee

In the event of a change in Broker-in-Charge, a membership application must also be completed if the new Broker-in-Charge is not currently a WAAR/WMLS member.
